Privacy Policy
Effective date:
MechCalcPro is built to be useful, not to harvest data. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
1Information We Collect
Calculator usage
Calculations run in your browser. MechCalcPro does not intentionally store calculator inputs or results.
Account information
If you create an account, Supabase processes your email address, password credentials, authentication metadata, and session data. MechCalcPro stores a profile record linked to your account so access permissions can be applied.
Anonymous analytics
We may collect aggregated, anonymised page-view data (pages visited, country, browser type) to understand how the site is used. No personal identifiers are collected or linked.
2What We Do Not Collect
No account for core tools
Core calculators can be used without an account. An account is required for calculators marked as member-only and for administrative features.
No selling of data
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information about visitors to third parties, ever.
No advertising trackers
We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.
3Cookies
Session cookies
If you sign in, Supabase sets session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. Cookie duration depends on the authentication session and browser settings.
Preference cookies
We may store lightweight preferences (e.g., selected unit system) in localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
4Third-Party Services
Vercel
The site is hosted on Vercel, which may collect server-side access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for infrastructure purposes. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
Supabase
Account authentication and profile storage are handled by Supabase. Credentials are protected using Supabase's authentication systems. See Supabase's privacy policy for details.
5Data Retention & Deletion
Accounts
Account and profile data is retained while the account remains active, unless a longer retention period is required for security or legal reasons.
Your rights
You may request access to or deletion of your account data through the project support channel. Do not include passwords, tokens, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
6Changes to This Policy
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
